2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer gets special Black Edition trim

Chevrolet Philippines launches Trailblazer Black Edition

The bow-tie brand continues to roll out new variants of their new-generation seven-seater SUV. Apart from the LTX, Chevrolet Philippines also released the Black Edition Trailblazer. As the name implies, the Trailblazer gets an array of blacked-out exterior trim pieces that give the SUV a cool and dark aura.

Both the front and rear bow-tie emblems get a black finish as well as the roor rails. Also getting the dark treatment are the 17-inch alloy wheels which are now painted Deep Black. Further adding to the black theme of the SUV are the body graphics on the side and the rear spoiler.

The blacked-out trim also makes its way inside the Trailblazer with the seats getting an all-black upholstery. In terms of trim, the seats, steering wheel and shift lever are all wrapped in leather.

Like other variants of the Trailblazer, the Black Edition also makes use of Chevrolet's MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. Beside having USB, Aux, Bluetooth and AM/FM radio, it now also comes with Apple CarPlay and Siri Eyes Free.

Driving the Black Edition Trailblazer is the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine. Exclusively mated to a 6-speed automatic, the powertrain develops 200 PS at 3800 rpm along with 500 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. The Black Edition is only available as a 4x2 model.

Price of the 2017 Trailblazer Black Edition is at PhP 1,598,888
