Hyundai receives recognition for outstanding work in terms of automobile design for the fourth straight year after two of its models were hailed by Red Dot Awards.

The 2017 Hyundai Azera and the all-new i30, known in other markets as the Elantra Sport, were given recognition in ‘Transportation Design’ within the ‘Product Design’ category.

Awarded for its outstanding design, originality and desirability, the Azera received a Red Dot for ‘high design quality’ while the i30 came in with an ‘Honorable Mention’ following awards from PIN UP Design Awards and 2017 iF Design Awards.

These awards are proof of Hyundai’s effort in pushing their automotive design to the next level. The Azera and the i30 are the first Hyundai models to carry the brand’s new signature design called ‘Cascading Grille’.

This year’s judges of the Red Dot Awards include 21 international design experts, professors and journalists.

The Azera’s Red Dot award, the automaker’s fourth straight, follows wins by i10 and Genesis in 2014, i20 and Sonata in 2015, and IONIQ in 2016.
