Lexus' compact crossover has been in the market for 3 years now. First revealed at the 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (arrived in the Philippine market in August 2014), it is the brand's smallest crossover that is available with either a turbocharged engine or a hybrid powertrain.
For 2017, it seems we'll soon be saying hello to a refreshed Lexus NX.
The luxury brand recently released a new teaser photo that gives a glimpse of the 2017 NX facelift. According to Lexus, the refreshed crossover will have an updated exterior design, as well as interior upgrades that add “convenience and functionality”.
Based on the photo, it appears the 2017 NX will receive a new set of headlights that are reminiscent of the IS and RC sports coupe. A new spindle grill could also make its way in the 2017 NX.
No details about the crossover's powertrain have been revealed but the current model comes available with either a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four and a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain. The former is mated to a 6-speed automatic while the latter is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The refreshed NX will be making its world debut at Auto Shanghai 2017
