The Hiroshima-based automaker will be arriving at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show with something special, the all-new CX-5. Scheduled to make its world premiere in the coming weeks, Mazda stated that the upcoming crossover gets a more refined exterior design and will deliver better driving dynamics.

Exact details about the 2017 CX-5 were not revealed, but based on the teaser image provided, the crossover appears to have received a sharper redesign. The front fascia now looks more menacing with its CX-9-inspired finish while the roofline has been made sleeker.

Towards the rear, the crossover appears to have received a thinner set taillights. Meanwhile the rear quarter panels now have softer lines and curves and the side windows now have metal trim panels.

Interior and powertrain options also not detailed but it's highly likely that Mazda will reveal upgraded SkyActiv engines and a more refined cabin. Also, Mazda's new G-Vectoring Control could also make its way in the new CX-5 since the refreshed Mazda3 and Mazda6 have already received them earlier.

The 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show will take place from November 18 – 27, 2016 at the LA Convention Center.
