'Godzilla' is coming to this year’s New York International Auto Show after Nissan officially announced their imminent arrival at the annual motor show.
To tease the motoring public about their upcoming presence, the automaker released a teaser image of their flagship supercar, the GT-R. Nothing much was stated but the image does show the GT-R’s signature dual taillight design.
Based on our speculation, it will highly likely be a slight update of the GT-R which will feature minor exterior alterations, along with refinements in its interior and powertrain.
The successor to the Skyline lineage has been in production since 2007 and has already received its second facelift back in late 2014. Most of the changes however were mechanical to deliver better on-road manners and improved cornering ability. To date, it produces 553 PS along with 628 Nm of torque from its hand-built 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6.
This bodes well for the Philippine market as Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) already confirmed the GT-R for the market to the media during the Nismo Festival at Fuji Speedway late November last year. To top it all off, NPI has designated Nissan Gallery, the Nissan dealer network under Willy Tee Ten’s Autohub Group, to be the official retailer of the GT-R in the Philippines.
