2017 Suzuki Celerio, Alto 800 get significant upgrades, safety features
Suzuki gives both the Celerio and Alto 800 better safety equipment, creature comforts

Suzuki Philippines continues to bring new features for their two smallest hatchbacks, the Celerio and the Alto 800. For 2017, the automaker introduces several upgrades in both safety and entertainment.

Beginning with the Celerio, it now comes with a new 7-inch multimedia touchscreen infotainment. It supports AM/FM radio, USB, Aux, CD/DVD and can even come with navigation. Beyond that, Suzuki also installed reverse sensors for easier and safer parking. Other safety tech already availablei n the Celerio include the anti-lock brakes and dual front airbags.
Under the hood is the familiar 1.0-liter K10B three-cylinder engine that can be mated to either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). It puts out 67 PS at 6000 rpm along with 90 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.
Available hues for the upgraded Celerio are: Metallic Star Silver, Metallic Mineral Gray, Pearl Ablaze Red, Pearl Snow White, Pearl Super Black and Prime Cerulean Blue.

Over to the Alto 800 Standard, Suzuki opted to equip the basic hatchback with additional safety features.
All variants now come with anti-lock brakes and dual airbags both in the driver and passenger sides. Also coming as standard is power steering which used to be only available on higher variants. Powering the Alto 800 is the 0.8-liter three-cylinder F8D engine. It has 47 PS at 6200 rpm along with 68 Nm of torque available at 3500 rpm. A five-speed manual gearbox is the sole transmission option.
Colors available for the upgraded Alto 800 are the following: Blazing Red, Brilliant Yellow, Cerulean Blue, Granite Gray, Prime Mojito Green, Silky Silver Metallic and Superior White.
In additon, Suzuki is also offering low-downpayment terms for the upgraded Celerio and Alto 800 hatchbacks. The former can be yours for as low as Php 58,000 while the latter is available for Php 28,000. This limited time offer is available only until October 31, 2017.
Pricing for the 2017 Suzuki Celerio and Alto 800 are as follows:
Celerio 1.0 M/T – Php 538,000
Celerio 1.0 CVT – Php 569,000
Alto 800 0.8 M/T Standard – Php 429,000
