The 11th Cebu Auto Show, a regional installment of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), is about to open once again to present the latest and most innovative automobiles and automotive trends in the Visayas region.
Driving with the theme of “Work and Play”, this year’s CAS will be turning its focus on two of the most prominent reasons why people buy cars: to provide transport for business and work, and as driving machines for pleasure. As such, CAS 2018 will be all about highlighting vehicles and other automotive products and services that will primarily address these growing demands.
The 2017 edition of the Cebu Auto Show gathered 70 automotive companies and attracted close to 12,000 visitors. The 44 booths at last year's show was composed of 7 automobile brands, 2 motorcycle brands, and a long list of auto parts and accessory dealers.
This year, the Cebu Auto Show will build on that success, and will feature major automobile brands such as Foton, JAC, JMC, Volkswagen, Ssangyong, and Toyota.
Aside from an impressive line-up of show exhibitors, CAS will hold the Custom and Classic Competition, featuring entries from different car clubs and other independent car owners from across the region, all of which will compete in 21 different categories. Among these categories include the Best Race-Inspired, Best in Show, Best Model, Best Lighting Display, Best Interior, Best in Classic, Best in Body Kit, and so much more.
Meanwhile, this year’s much-awaited Diecast car model swap meet will surely impress the most discerning collector as it showcases the best pieces from the Diecast Car Collectors of the Philippines and the Cebu Diecast Car Collectors. Also not to be missed is this year’s roster of sports cars and motor bikes at the Mountain Wing exhibit of CAS 2018.
The 11th Cebu Auto Show is happening on September 14-16, 2018 from 10:00am to 8:00pm at the SM Seaside Skyhall. The event offers free admission to all and is for the benefit of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation.
