After making its debut in both Thailand and in the Philippines, Honda has officially launched the 2018 Jazz refresh for the European market. In its latest update, the B-segment hatchback gets a mild makeover both inside and out and is now available with a more powerful 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine.

Set to make its public debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the refreshed hatchback now comes with a revised front fascia. It gets the 'Solid Wing Face' grill design along with the tapered headlights that flank the quarter panels. Also, it gets a sharper-looking front bumper and reshaped foglights.

2018 Honda Jazz Sport makes European debut

Side-by-side with the Jazz offered in Asia, the Euro-spec Jazz now looks similar in design.

Apart from the subtle exterior revisions, the Euro-spec Jazz is now also available in a new trim model called 'Sport'. Essentially Europe's version of the RS, it kits out the Jazz with a sportier finish thanks to several upgrades. The front bumper gets a new aero splitter while the rear bumper is fitted with a diffuser. In addition, the Jazz Sport rolls on 16-inch gloss black alloy wheels and gets subtle red pinstriping on the front and rear bumpers.

The pinstriping also carries over inside the Jazz Sport as well. All of the seats come with bright red stitching while the leather steering wheel and gear knob come with orange stitching accents. Standard in-car features for the Euro Jazz include cruise control, heated seats, automatic headlights and City-Brake Active safety system.

Other key features that can be specified for the 2018 Jazz in Europe include: touchscreen infotainment, reverse camera, keyless entry and start, forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW) and traffic sign recognition (TSR).

2018 Honda Jazz Sport makes European debut

Beside the Sport trim, a new 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine was also introduced for the Euro-spec Jazz. It's only availabe for the top-of-the-range Dynamic variant and puts out a healthy 130 PS. According to Honda, it's also Euro 6 compliant and only emits 124 g of CO2 per kilometer when married to a CVT. Standard models come equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Lower models of the 2018 Jazz in Europe will still come with the 1.3-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder with 102 PS.
