The Lexus CT 200h has received yet another update. For the 2018 model year, It now bears a more chiseled look along with a revised interior that conforms with the brand's current design theme.
Beginning with its exterior, the 2018 CT 200h sports a sharper looking front end. The signature spindle grill that sits proudly up front gets a new mesh design while a tweaked set of headlights give the hatchback a fresher finish. Also given a once over are the L-shaped daytime running lights and the fog light bezels which have been reshaped and are now painted gray.
The rear combination taillights are now wider than before but still come with the L-shaped design. Like the fog light bezels up front, the rear reflector bezels are now also painted gray which makes up for a sleek and uniform appearance.
A new range of wheel designs will be available as well and can come in 15-, 16- and 17-inch sizes. There will also be a ten-spoke design that will be finished in dark metallic. A two-tone exterior paint job can be specified for the F-Sport variant with two new primary hues: Lava Orange CS (Crystal Sunshine) and Heat Blue CL (Contrast Layering).
Stepping inside, the 2018 CT 200h still gets the familiar cabin design albeit now available with new interior trim options and tech. At the center sits the new 10.3-inch infotainment display which is bigger than the one in the current model.
Powering the 2018 CT 200h will still be the 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle inline-four that is helped along by an electric motor that is housed within the eCVT. However, Lexus did not state whether the hybrid powertrain now generates more power. The current model has a total system output of 134 PS.
Aside from the exterior and interior update, the 2018 CT 200h now also comes with the Lexus Safety System+. With it, safety features like Pre-Collision System (PCS), radar-based cruise control, lane departure alert, road sign assist and automatic high beam assist will come as standard for the refreshed hatchback.
