Nissan Philippines introduces automatic gearbox option for Urvan Premium
A few weeks ago, Nissan Philippines Inc (NPI) announced that the Urvan Premium will soon be available with an automatic transmission. After weeks of waiting, NPI has officially introduced the Premium Urvan A/T.
Like the manual version introduced a few months ago, the automatic variant of the Urvan Premium is based off the high-roof version. It measures in at 5320mm long, 1880mm wide and 2285mm tall. In addition, it has a spacious 2940mm wheelbase. It comes with the signature V-Motion front grill, large headlights, color-keyed front and rear bumpers / door handles, and new foglight bezels.
Closing the sliding door can be done with ease thanks to the close assist feature which is available in both manual and automatic variants.
Inside, it can fit fifteen people in comfort thanks to individual seats that each come with seatbelts, headrests and a recline function. There are even cup holders and bottle holders for almost all of the occupants. Individual aircon vents are also placed to keep the passengers cool. For those that need to stow additional luggage, the rear-most bench can be raised for more cargo room.
Driving the Urvan Premium is the familiar 2.5-liter turbo-diesel inline-four with variable geometry turbo. Exact output ratings have yet to be released but it's highly likely it will produce the same 129 PS and 356 Nm of torque from the manual variant. As previously mentioned, it can now be had with a five-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
The 2018 Nissan Urvan Premium A/T retails for Php 1,740,000.
