At the currently on-going Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short, Porsche's latest flagship 911 was just revealed both in the metal and in the virtual world. It seems as though Porsche has teamed up with Microsoft to debut the hardcore 2018 911 GT2 RS at the Forza Motorsport 7 launch.

Apart from being Porsche's latest range topper, the GT2 RS will also be featured on the cover of Forza Motorsport 7. Those eager to get their hands on the GT2 RS will be able to drive it in the virtual world beginning October 3, during the game's release on both Xbox One and PC. As for the car itself, Porsche has not released any details regarding it, but do expect a proper reveal to occur soon.

Despite not having technical details on the GT2 RS, the unexpected reveal gives us a first glimpse of its aggressive looking body. The front bumper now features front vents even larger than those found on the GT3 RS. It also gets a massive rear wing, carbon fiber roof, vented front fenders and a vented hood.

While the rear of the actual vehicle was not shown during the presentation, it was shown in the virtual demo of the upcoming racing sim. As seen in the spied photos of the GT2 RS, it features a redesigned rear bumper with two large round exhaust tips. Meanwhile inside, the cabin stripped down and has been fitted with a roll-cage and racing seats.

Since Porsche has not revealed any performance figures, all is up in the air at the moment. What we do know is that the engine is a 3.8-liter biturbo flat-six sourced from the 911 Turbo S, but upgraded for the GT2 RS. Do note that when revealed in full, the GT2 RS is said to be the most powerful, road-going 911 ever.
