At the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru will be introducing the spiritual successor to the Tribeca, the Ascent. To pique interest in the upcoming three-row SUV, Subaru has released yet another teaser of the high-riding seven-seater, this time showing the top half of its body.

Though the photo is dark, we do get a partial glimpse of the Ascent's production body. Unsurprisingly, it has a much softer appearance compared to the concept's rough and chisled look. Should the lines of the Asent seem familiar, that is because it appears to have borrowed styling cues from the current Forester, particularly the roof and hoodline. It does however have a higher and more pronounced front shoulder line which is similar to the concept.

The photo also show's the Ascent's three-row seating inside coupled with a tan, possibly leather interior. Other notable features seen in the teaser include Subaru's signature C-shaped LED daytime running lights.

Apart from the previous teaser photo showing the Ascent's rear bumper, no other details have been released by Subaru. Though unconfirmed, power is said to come from a newly developed turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine likely coupled with Subaru's all-wheel drive system.

Much like the Impreza and the XV, the Ascent will also ride on the Subaru Global Platform. Furthermore, it will be built in Lafayette, Indiana, beginning in 2018 where the Tribeca was built.
