Last year, Aston Martin Philippines brought in the DB11. It serves as the British marque's flagship grand tourer and is the direct sucessor to the much-revered DB9. Now, an all-new high performance sports car joins the local range, the 2019 Vantage.
Like the flagship DB11, the Vantage has a 'long hood, short deck' design that highlights its “predatory” and “athletic” stance. Dominating the front fascia is low-slung front grill and a sweeping front hood that hides its V8 powerplant. Complementing those are the eye-catching LED headlights with daytime running lights.
Around the back, the Vantage has a smooth flowing roofline that is accompanied by muscular wheel arches that channel air towards the rear deck lid. This design not only aids in delivering better airflow, , but also helps in generating downforce for added grip.
Pop the doors open and the Vantage greets you with a sporty cabin. Appointed with fine grain leather, alcantara, and carbon fiber bits.
Propelling the all-new Vantage is a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG. It cranks out an impressive 510 PS along with a hefty 685 Nm of torque. A ZF eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, allowing the car to sprint from 0 – 97 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h.
Besides having a potent engine under the hood, the 2019 Vantage is also equipped with a vast array of chassis engineering and tech. It has a bonded aluminum frame which makes it lighter, more rigid and carve corners better. It also comes with torque vectoring, adaptive suspension damping, electronic power steering and electronic rear differential as such which aids in delivering better handling.
