Honda Thailand has confirmed through a rather conspicuous teaser that the 2019 Accord will be making its ASEAN debut at this year's Thailand International Motor Expo, to be held at the Impact Exhibition Center.
On its 10th generation, the all-new Honda Accord made its global debut July of 2017 in the US. The new Accord features a bold interpretation of the automaker's 'Solid Wing Face', a coupe-like roofline, and a rear quarter window, for the very first time. The aggressive and chiseled shape is highlighted by LED front illumination and finished off by a pair of C-shaped tail lights with a sloping trunklid.
Honda Thailand says the new Accord will feature their new Hybrid Intelligent Multi Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain. It is the third iteration of Honda's hybrid technology which features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine coupled with a dual motor hybrid system.
It will also be equipped with 'Honda Sensing', the automaker's advanced safety suite with features such as collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic signal recognition, blindspot warning, cross traffic warning, auto high-beam headlights, and lane watch. Actual safety features available will depend on market regulations and requirements.
The 2019 Honda Accord will make its official market launch in Thailand early next year. The Philippine market is expect to follow suit sometime after.
