Together with the brand re-launching of Kia under Ayala Corporation management, AC Industrials has also introduced an all-new model into the market.
No it’s not the Stinger as some enthusiasts hoped for (sorry guys). Instead, Kia has launched the new Soluto subcompact sedan, and joins Kia’s revitalized line up of vehicles.
For those who may not have heard of the Soluto, the small sedan was first introduced in China back in 2017 as the Pegas, where it is also produced. The subcompact sedan is powered by a 1.4-liter dual-CVVT gasoline engine which produces 95 PS and 132 Nm of torque. It is available with both a five-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic, and sends power to the front wheels.
On the outside, it features styling cues similar to that of other Kia models, such as the Rio, especially with its front fascia. Despite it’s small appearance, the Soluto doesn’t actually scrimp on size. In fact, it has a 2,570mm wheelbase, making it quite roomy inside.
Step in the cabin, and it is also loaded with tech and features. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay hooked up to a 6-speaker system comes standard along with a rear-view camera and steering wheel controls. Depending on the variant, leather seats and rear-parking distance warnings are also available.
For the Philippines, the Soluto will be offered in four different variants and will be available in five colors – Clear White, Titanium Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Blue Stream, and Marcato Red. Price for the Soluto starts at Php 625,000 and goes up to Php 735,000 for the range-topping model.
The public can get an up close and personal look at the new Soluto from January 31 to February 3 at mall displays in the following venues: Bonifacio High Street in BGC, Trinoma in Quezon City, and Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa.
