The Subaru Levorg is about to get a serious power upgrade in the Philippines. Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the official distributor of Subaru cars in the country, has just announced that they will be introducing a more powerful motor for the Levorg sports wagon at this year's Subaru Festival.
Say goodbye to the 1.6-liter FB16 turbo as the Levorg will now be equipped with the more powerful 2.0-liter FA20 turbocharged Boxer engine. Unlike the old engine which only came with 170 PS, the new engine will come with nearly 270 PS and will be helped along by Active Torque Vectoring for better grip and cornering.
Complementing the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine are the three SI Drive modes: Intelligent (I) for everyday driving, Sport (S) for enhanced acceleration, and Sport Sharp (S#) which boosts overall driving experience.
Aside from the new powerplant, the upgraded Levorg will also come with Subaru's EyeSight Drive Assist Technology as standard. With it, the wagon is now fitted with a wide array of safety features like pre-collision braking, pre-collision throttle management, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
Other standard / new features that will be available for the Levorg 2.0 GT-S will be: self-leveling LED headlights with restyled LED foglights, a fresh new set of 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, power-sliding tilt adjustable sunroof and twin exhausts at the back.
Inside, it has sport bucket seats at the front which are trimmed in leather and come with a distinct blue contrast stitching. Meanwhile, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system provides in-car entertainment for the occupants. It comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, AM/FM radio, USB and Aux connectivity, as well as Bluetooth telephony.
Get to see the Levorg 2.0 GT-S in the metal from September 22 – 23 at the 2018 Subaru Festival. It will take place along 9th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City.
