Alpina has been tuning BMWs for quite some time now. In fact, the tuner has been known for adding more power to standard Bimmers as well even giving them chassis and styling enhancements. These styling upgrades are typcially seen in the form of graphics, stickers and multi-spoke wheels.

With BMW having debuted the new 7-Series earlier this year, perhaps it's no surprise that Alpina has now revealed the 2020 B7 which is based on the Bavarian automaker's flagship sedan.

Following the design of the new 7-Series, the Alpina B7 also gets same massive kidney grill treatment. Alpina however decided to give the B7 a styling upgrade courtesty of a new front splitter with the Alpina logo etched onto it along with new side skirts and a rear diffuser. There's also a new quad-tip exhaust which give the big sedan a more aggressive look. 21-inch aluminum multi-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin performance tires complete the change in style.

Aside from the new kit, Alpina now offers the B7 in two exclusive color options: Alpina Blue metallic and Alpina Green metallic. Inside, there is a more plush interior with the cabin being fitted with Alpina exclusive bits such as special wood trim and leather options. One can also find a lot of Alpina badging and graphics in the leather as well as in the digital gauge cluster.

The biggest change made to the B7 would be found with the engine. Under the hood, Alpina has tuned BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 to produce 600 PS and 800 Nm of torque. The 7-Series' 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system has also been upgraded in order to be able to handle more power. The result is that the B7 can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h, making it one of the fastest sedans on the planet.

Combining speed and luxury isn't cheap as the 2020 Alpina B7 retails for USD 141,700 (Php 7,414,000). It will go on sale starting the third quarter of 2019.
