2021 Geely Okavango Urban Plus debuts with features customers asked for

Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the distributor of the Geely brand, launched a new variant of the 7-Seater Okavango. This time, with a sunroof that customers have been asking for.
The new variant is called the Urban Plus. It will effectively be the new range-topping variant for the Okavango model. Upgrades include a new 60-inch Panoramic Sunroof with extra shading materials to block the sun out more effectively. Rain? A rainfall sensor automatically closes the sunroof in the event of a downpour. No need to close it by yourself anymore.
Aside from the sunroof, the Urban Plus also gets new ADB (Adaptive Drive Beam) Matrix LED Headlamps. The new headlamp features 4 lighting modes, Self-Adjusting high and low beams, automatic headlight leveling, and an adaptive front lighting system. It is not a motorized adaptive beam system; it uses LEDs to simulate the effect of a motorized projector, but doesn't have the complexity and replacement cost of the latter.
Rounding up the changes in the Urban Plus is the larger infotainment system. Geely fitted a 12.3” Digital Instrument Panel with music, radio, and other multimedia functions in place of the 10.25-unit found in the Comfort and Urban variants.
Under the hood, the Okavango Urban Plus shares the same engine as the Urban and Comfort variant. It uses a 1.5-Liter three-cylinder turbo engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system producing 190 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Urban Plus shares the same interior versatility as the other variants with individually reclining seats for all three rows. Geely says there are 19 distinct configurations for the interior.
The Geely Okavango Urban Plus is priced at PHP 1,478,000 as is the new range topping variant of the Okavango with the Comfort variant at PHP 1,208,000 and the Urban at PHP 1,328,000. Mind you, all those prices do not include the new safeguard bond yet.
