Kia Philippines is gearing up for the local launch of the all-new Stonic crossover. Set to go up against the likes of the MG ZS, Ford EcoSport, and the like, the Stonic will be making its official debut in the country in Q4 of 2020.

Now, we got word on what will be the variants and prices of the all-new Kia Stonic. Based on the information we gathered, the entry-level model will be the LX M/T which will retail for PhP 735,000. Next is the LX A/T which has a sticker price of PhP 835,000. Finally, the top-of-the-line model is the EX A/T which will sell for PhP 925,000.

With Kia sourcing the Stonic from China instead of Korea, they will be able to take advantage of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (C-AFTA). This was made possible as all variants of the Stonic will be powered by the 1.4-liter, four-cylinder Gamma engine – allowing the automaker to price it competitively. As far as transmissions are concerned, the Stonic is available with either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission called IVT.

In terms of equipment, the 2021 Stonic will come with several standard features across the lineup. All models will come with 16-inch alloy wheels, foglights, projector headlights, and a reverse camera. The LX variants will have halogens while the EX will be equipped with LED lighting. Only available for the EX versions will be the engine start/stop button, and automatic climate control, and electronic stability control.

Exclusively available for the EX variant is the dual-tone exterior paint. With it, models finished in red, white, and orange will all come with a black roof. The only monotone finish available for the EX is blue. As for the LX variants, they will only come in monotone red, blue, and white.

Plan to reserve early for a Kia Stonic? There's word going around that some who inquired were told that discounts of up to PhP 60,000 will be given if they reserve from September until October 15, 2020. Combined with the competitive pricing of the Stonic, and it looks like Kia has a winner on their hands.

We'll keep you updated on the latest info of the 2021 Kia Stonic as its official launch draws nearer.
