Nissan officially announced the launch date by releasing a teaser video previewing the 2021 Navara. Not surprisingly, most of the pick-up truck in the teaser video is still covered. However, we do get to see its outline together with the new front fascia and headlights.

Based on what we can see from the video, the spy photos do were accurate. The new LED signature and quad-projector setup are nearly the same as the uncamouflaged vehicles spotted in Thailand. Unfortunately, there is no way to verify whether the large Titan-inspired grille as seen on the spy shots is accurate for the time being.

No other details such as specs or powertrain were revealed apart from the teaser video per the usual. For that, we will have to wait until the 2021 Navara officially debuts. Currently, the Philippine-spec Navara is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces either 160 PS and 430 Nm torque or 190 PS with 450 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic.

What’s more interesting is that Nissan officially called it the 2021 Navara. However, as seen in the spy photos, the grille and tailgate are stamped with the Frontier name instead. Confusing times no doubt. Hopefully, this will all be cleared up once Nissan’s refreshed pick-up truck debuts next week.

Excited? So are we.
