Volkswagen T-Cross will officially go on sale May 26
One of the most highly anticipated models from Volkswagen Philippines has arrived in the country: the 2021 T-Cross. The automaker confirmed that the initial batch of crossovers is now in the country and is currently being processed.
The photos show us the crossover in Tribu Yellow, Romance Red, Syringa Violet, and Chinchilla Gray. So far we’ve only seen the T-Cross in press photos. These live shots, however, give us a better idea of what the vehicle looks like in the metal with their corresponding colors.
The Philippine-spec Volkswagen T-Cross will come in two variants – the entry-level T-Cross 180 MPI AT S and T-Cross 180 MPI AT SE. Both variants will be available with one engine option, the naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 113 PS and 145 Nm torque. A 6-speed automatic gearbox serves as the lone transmission option. No turbo power, but VW Philippines says it can average 17 km/L mixed driving conditions.
Curious about the difference between the two T-Cross variants? Compare the Chinchilla Gray unit in the photo to the other three. That one is the entry-level 180 MPI AT, and it lacks fog lights and LED headlights. It also has a different front grille. Meanwhile, the yellow, red, and violet units are of the range-topping variants.
Excited about the Volkswagen T-Cross? Thankfully we won’t have to wait too long. The 2021 T-Cross will be available at Volkswagen dealerships starting May 26, 2021. The base 180 MPI AT S starts at PHP 1,089,000, and the 180 MPI AT SE at PHP 1,198,000. Those who reserve a unit before the official launch date on May 26 will be entitled to a PHP 30,000 discount.
