All-new Geely GX3 Pro launches next week
Remember when Geely Philippines previewed an all-new model during the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS)? Well, it's set to make its official debut in the country next week.
That's right, Geely distributor Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) will be unveiling the GX3 Pro subcompact crossover SUV next week, August 8. Set to serve as the brand's entry-level (and most affordable) crossover in the lineup, the GX3 Pro combines stylish looks, a high-tech & comfortable cabin, and an efficient 1.5-liter powertrain.
Just like the vehicle first previewed last April, the GX3 Pro features a distinct exterior design that's wrapped in a subcompact package. The front fascia features a pair of eye-catching headlights along with a unique grille with chrome accents. The rear, meanwhile, gets a diffuser on the rear bumper and a set of LED taillights. Last but not least are the 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Those with keen eyes might notice the GX3 Pro's interior looks oddly familiar. That's because Geely essentially took the Emgrand's cabin and put it inside their latest crossover. The result is a sleek cabin complete with plenty of amenities and features.
The GX3 Pro will feature a two-tier dashboard, a power sunroof, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth & CarbitLink, leather seats, a leather-wrapped D-cut steering wheel, cruise control, a reverse camera with dynamic guide lines, traction/stability control, and dual front airbags.
The GX3 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated, four-cylinder engine derived from the Emgrand. It makes 102 PS at 5600 rpm along with 142 Nm of torque between 4400 to 4800 rpm. Depending on the variant, the engine is either mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT, with the latter available with a Sport Mode that makes acceleration quicker.
The 2024 Geely GX3 Pro will start at a special introductory price of PHP 778,000. More details and features about the GX3 Pro will be revealed soon closer to its official launch.
