2024 Honda Brio launched in PH, starts at PHP 735k

In a market that's dominated by crossovers, Honda Cars Philippines shows us small hatchbacks still have a unique appeal.

They have launched the 2024 Honda Brio hatchback along with the refreshed Honda City, showing off some subtle but important improvements both inside and out.

For starters, Honda updated the look of the Brio with a revised front fascia. They made the upper grille bigger and connected the faux side intakes to the lower grille. Lower variants still have reflector halogen headlights, but for this update, Honda has fitted LED headlights and foglights to the top-spec RS variant.

Also new for the RS variant are the RS-specific grille, and the piano black-colored side mirrors. The special RS side skirts, rear bumper garnish, and 15-inch two-tone alloy wheels were carried over from the pre-updated version.

Inside, Honda fitted all Brio variants with a 7-inch touchscreen head unit with Bluetooth, USB, and smartphone mirroring, while the RS and 1.2 V get additional smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The RS variant gets 6 speakers as standard while the rest of the lineup has 4.

Like before, the RS variant also gets a different analog gauge cluster design along with different fabric patterns and adjustable headrests. Lower variants get fixed headrests as a standard feature.

In terms of cargo space, the Brio hatchback has a capacity of 258 liters with the rear seats up. But with the rear seats down, that expands to 851 liters.

The 2024 Honda Brio remains powered by a 1.2-liter, inline-four SOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 90 PS at 6000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm. All RS variants are paired to a CVT while there's a 5-speed manual transmission option for the base 1.2 S.

For safety, the new Brio hatchback gets two front airbags as standard, along with ABS, EBD, and rear parking sensors.

The 2024 Honda Brio is on display along with the new Honda City at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall from July 13 to July 16, 2023, and is now available across all Honda dealerships nationwide.
