A counterflow lane will be implemented along the northbound lane for Manila-bound motorists to take while the road works are being conducted. In addition, traffic patrol crews/marshals will be deployed to guide motorists while direction signs will be put up in strategic areas.

The scheduled concreting tasks on the Candaba viaduct are part of NLEX Corporation's major rehabilitation works on the key segment of the expressway. Repairs first started last July 2022 and have resulted in the rerouting of trucks with 12 wheels or more. Only trucks with a maximum of 10 wheels and with a weight not exceeding 33 tons will be allowed to use the southbound section of the Candaba Viaduct.
