Porsche Training and Recruitment program graduates its 5th batch

Scholars assured of employment at Porsche Centers worldwide

The 5th batch of the Porsche Mechatronics has just graduated from the Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Asia at the PGA facility in Mandaluyong.

Eight scholars were chosen from the Don Bosco Technical Institute who underwent 10 months of theoretical and practical training followed by a 9 month specialized Porsche training course at the Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Asia (PTRCA) facility.

Initiated in 2006 by Robert Coyiuto Jr., Chairman of PGA Cars, the Porsche Training Recruitment Center Asia serves as a "mechanic school" for underprivileged yet deserving youths. The program consists of 10 months of theoretical and practical work at Don Bosco Makati, after which the scholars move on to the PTRCA for continued practical and hands-on education.

To date, 82 scholars have been deployed to several regions around the world from the Middle East, Latin America and Asia. A number of graduates have also found jobs in the Philippines, one of them being the only female graduate, Madel Bejerano, now employed at PGA Cars.

Graduation ceremonies were held last September 19 at the Porsche Center Philippines hosted by Robert Coyiuto Jr and Roberto Coyiuto III, Managing Director of Porsche Philippines, together with Hertz Pura, Technical Training Manager. With PGA Cars recent contribution to Don Bosco Technical Institute, more scholars will be given this opportunity in the future.
