Official Philippine BMW importer and distributor Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC) held the groundbreaking for its upcoming showroom at the Bonifacio Global City. The new showroom will be the largest and most modern showroom at nearly 2,000 square-meters; featuring the latest BMW automobile, Motorrad bikes, a BMW Lifestyle Section, the Isetta Bar inspired by the 1950’s iconic microcar, and a quick service facility on the second floor.
"We are proud to announce the establishment of BMW Bonifacio Global City through this groundbreaking event. This is testament to BMW’s continued leadership, our pioneering innovation in the automotive industry, and strengthened confidence in the growing Filipino market," said Maricar Parco, ACC President.
The world-class showroom will be the 9th BMW showroom in the Philippines once it opens. It will be the tenth premium luxury brand to open a showroom at the Bonifacio Global City joining Audi, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, and Rolls-Royce.
BMW Bonifacio Global City will be located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 27th Street. It is scheduled to be operational by mid-2015 and will be housed on the ground floor of a state-of-the-art 23-storey building penned by Singapore-based Pomeroy Studio and built in partnership with the Century Properties Group. ACC will also be moving its corporate headquarters to the new building along with the rest of the Alvarez Group companies.
The building is being envisioned to achieve LEED certification which will complement the brand’s thrust on green mobility and sustainability. When asked on the possibility of seeing low to zero emission vehicles like the ActiveHybrid and the recently revealed i3 and i8 electric cars, BMW Group Asia Managing Director Neil Fiorentinos said that they are studying possible introduction once infrastructure is readily available.
