The bow-tie brand is giving their one-ton pickup a serious upgrade. Introducing the 2017 Colorado LTX. Available only as a 4x2 model, the new mid-range offerings gets a host of exterior add-ons along with plenty of tech upgrades.

Beginning with the exterior, the Colorado LTX comes with a nudge bar as standard for added protection. Meanwhile, the bed now has roll bars which can secure loose cargo. Topping it all off are the side step running boards which allow easier ingress and egress from the pickup.

Climbing inside, the LTX comes with leather upholstery as standard which has been applied on the seats and steering wheel. The center console, on the other hand, has a gray finish with a cube print design. For added safety, the LTX also comes with an in-dash camera, along with an auto dimming 4.3 LCD and back-up monitor with rear sensors.

Also standard equipment in the LTX is the new MyLink infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Providing propulsion is the familiar 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel with variable geometry turbo (VGT). It produces 200 PS at 3800 rpm along with a massive 500 Nm of torque available at 2000 rpm. Power is then transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado LTX currently has a retail price of PhP 1,387,000.
