5th-gen Honda Odyssey features new powertrains and advanced connectivity
Honda Motor Company has recently announced that the all-new 2018 Odyssey Minivan will officially make its global debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The automaker said that the 5th-generation Odyssey will have a completely redesigned look, new powertrain technology as well as a new suite of innovative features. With this, Honda claims that the new minivan has a family-friendly design and packaging.
Along with the announcement, Honda released an official teaser sketch and four teaser scribbles made by the children of the Ohio-based Odyssey Development team.
"We wanted to have a bit of fun by sharing some of the drawings from children of the Odyssey team members, since they were inspirational in shaping the family-friendly direction of the all-new Odyssey," said Chad Harrison, chief engineer at Honda R&D America and the development leader of the new Odyssey.
In addition, the teaser scribbles also symbolize the bold and youthful design. Adopting these designs as is, however, could be proven difficult if the cars are used in real world. With this in mind, Honda said that they'll be doing more testing as well as validation.
