Ford Philippines is gearing up for the big reveal of 2020 F-150 this coming June 24.

Originally set to debut during this year's Manila International Auto Show, the Blue Oval brand had to delay its launch due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the annual event's postponement (and eventual cancellation) for this year. Upon its launch, the PH-spec F-150 will supposedly be available in two distinct variants, the 4x4 Platinum, and the 4x2 Lariat. Exact specifications have yet to be revealed, however.

But while we're set to get the current-generation F-150, the US market will soon be getting the next-generation pick-up truck. That's because Ford recently released a teaser photo, as well as the official reveal date of the 2021 F-150: June 25, 8:00 PM EDT.

Based on the lone teaser photo provided, the 2021 F-150 has a bolder front fascia thanks to the new LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The DRLs have been reshaped and are now also present on the foglights as well. As for the rest of the truck, it appears that the F-150 will get a bigger hood and a slightly different front grille. All in all, the F-150 looks to be it will have a more chiseled appearance.

There are no other details yet regarding its powertrain or specifications. However, we do know that the all-new pick-up truck will be available in either hybrid or fully-electric variants. Ford confirmed this six months ago when the company announced that they will be investing $700 million at the Dearborn factory where the F-150 is being built.

As far as internal-combustion engines are concerned, we won't be surprised if the F-150 will still be available with the EcoBoost V6 engines, the naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8, as well as the six-cylinder Powerstroke turbo-diesel. Also, the ten-speed automatic transmission will most likely be available still for the 2021 F-150.

What will this mean for the local launch of the F-150 with the world premiere of the new model happening in the same week? Will the premiere of the new generation model hamper the sales of the PH-market F-150? According to our sources, PH-market F-150 will be available in very limited numbers. As to how many, we have yet to find out.
