The funky little crossover from Kia is about get an all-new look at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Set to make its world debut in the City of Angels is the 2020 Kia Soul.

Kia confirmed the big reveal after they released a teaser image of the all-new Soul just weeks before the annual auto show. Looking at the image provided, the 2020 Soul gets to keep its iconic silhouette, as well as the vertical taillights albeit slightly restyled. Beyond that, there's nothing much to go from the lone teaser image.

However, our eagle-eyed spies managed to get some shots of a camouflaged prototype playing in the snow. Last seen in February, the all-new Soul does in fact keep its signature look. What's different, however, is its front fascia. Despite the heavy camo, it looks likee the Soul will adopt a 'composite two-tier headlight design' similar to that of the Hyundai Kona and Santa Fe.

We have yet to see the signature tiger-nose grill but it's highly likely to be in the final design. An array of false body panels surround the rear quarters of the Soul, which could indicate that Kia has been busy modifying the design at the back.

As far as engines are concerned, Kia said that the all-new Soul will be available with new turbocharged powertrains. This could mean that a wide array of turbocharged gasoline- and diesel-powered motors can be specified in the Soul. There's even a rumor going around that an all-wheel-drive variant is in the works for the 2020 Soul. Like its predecessor, an all-electric version will be made avaiable too and is set to go on sale in Europe next year.

The 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will be open to the public from December 1 – December 10.
