Next-generation Maserati GranTurismo arriving in PH Q1 2024

Remember when Maserati revealed the next-generation GranTurismo in Europe last year? Well, after making its presence felt in The Old Continent, Maserati has officially launched the 2024 GranTurismo in Asia Pacific.

Revealed at a special event held in Japan, esteemed guests and select members of the media were invited to the exclusive launch of the all-new sports car from Modena. Like the vehicle launched in Italy last year, the 2024 GranTurismo is powered by the brand’s new Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine.

Derived from the flagship MC20 supercar, the six-cylinder engine in the all-new GranTurismo is available in two states of tune. Starting with the Modena, the V6 makes an impressive 490 PS at 6500 rpm along with a generous 600 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Next is the more powerful Trofeo which doles out a healthy 550 PS at 6500 rpm and a meaty 650 Nm of pull at 3000 rpm.

The Modena can go from 0 - 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 302 km/h. However, the Trofeo can achieve the same 100 km/h sprint at a faster 3.5 seconds and go all the way to 320 km/h.

Prefer something more eco-friendly without carbon emissions? Maserati also has an upcoming all-electric version of the GranTurismo dubbed the Folgore. It features an 800V architecture, a trio of electric motors, and a 92.5 kWh battery pack with technology derived from Formula E. The result is 760 PS with a stump-pulling 1,350 Nm of pulling power, and the ability to catapult itself from 0 - 100 km/h in a mere 2.7 seconds. Like the Trofeo version, this one can reach an astonishing 320 km/h.

While the EV has been announced, the series production of the electric GranTurismo Folgore variant has yet to officially begin in Italy. This means customers who are looking to get the next-generation Maserati GranTurismo in Asia-Pacific will have to settle for the V6 versions, for now at least.

Since the all-new Maserati GranTurismo is now in the region, it will not be long before the next-generation sports car makes its way here. In fact, we just got word that the twin-turbo V6-powered sports car will be making its way to the Philippines in Q1 2024.

For customers in the country who plan to get their hands on one in the near future, better to let Maserati Philippines distributor Modena Motosports know you’re interested in getting one.
