Mention Lamborghini to almost anyone, and they'll immediately think of a raging bull of a supercar (or super SUV). Whether it's the Huracan, the Aventador, or even the Urus, everybody knows that it's sleek, fast, and proudly Italian.
But it looks like the House of The Raging Bull will now also be known as one of the automakers to have Alexa available as standard. You read right, the Amazon-developed virtual assistant can now help Lamborghini drivers while on the road.
First made available on the Huracan Evo, they're the first automaker to provide in-car control for drivers via Amazon Alexa. With it, users can now let Alexa adjust the climate control, make changes on the interior lighting, activate the heated seats via simple voice command, and even manipulate the onboard infotainment system. That way, drivers can remain focused on the road or track while Alexa can place calls, check the weather, look up for directions, and even play audiobooks / music.
Aside from providing wireless functions for the driver, Alexa also connects Lamborghini owners to the growing number of connected devices that have Alexa. Via a simple voice interaction, drivers of the Huracan Evo can control remote-controlled garage doors, as well as air-conditioning in the house while inside the Lamborghini. This allows for countless wireless connectivity features that are not bound on the Huracan Evo alone.
“The Huracán Evo is an outstanding driver’s car, and connectivity enables our customers to focus on the driving, thus enhancing their Lamborghini experience. Lamborghini is a future shaper, and this is the first time an automaker will deliver in-cabin car control through Amazon Alexa to bring together car controls as well as smart commands and Alexa’s standard capabilities,” said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
