Chery Auto Philippines to offer Android Auto in more Tiggo models
Pairing your Android device with the Tiggo 7 Pro just got easier.
As customers continue to demand more features and ease of connectivity from their vehicles, Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) and United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI) recently announced that Android Auto is now available on the Tiggo 7 Pro.
Previously, the Tiggo 7 Pro was only available with Apple CarPlay with a smartphone mirror link called QD. It also comes with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, but Android users could only use Bluetooth or the mirror link function. To cater to Android users, Chery decided it was the right time to introduce Android Auto.
“We are always on the lookout when it comes to adapting technologies that make driving more enjoyable for everyone Equipping our bestselling Chery Tiggo 7 Pro with Android Auto is something our customers will surely appreciate,” said newly-appointed UAAGI president Erroll Duenas.
With Android Auto now available, apps such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Waze, and Google Maps can now be directly controlled via the Tiggo 7 Pro's 10.25-inch touchscreen. Drivers can even open their contact lists and call people directly without having to use their smartphones.
To activate this feature, current Tiggo 7 Pro owners need to set an appointment with their Chery dealership or book an appointment via Chery Auto PH App. The activation will be done by the dealership's aftersales staff for free.
Other Chery models like the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 5X, and the Tiggo 8 will also have the Android Auto feature available soon. But for now, Chery says owners of these vehicles must use either QD Link or Bluetooth for the time being.
With the Tiggo 7 Pro serving as one of the brand's best-selling models to date, equipping it with Android Auto will help make it more attractive to prospective buyers. It has a suggested retail price of PHP 1,198,000.
“We're confident that this much-anticipated infotainment upgrade, will make the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro even more appealing to its target market.
