When the Honda Civic Type R first arrived in the market, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) said that only 100 of these hot hatches will set foot in this country. Within a matter of 48 hours, the reservation books were filled up.

If you were one of those who missed out on the first 100 cars, then you're in luck. The Japanese automaker is opening up the order books again as the Civic Type R becomes available for the 2018 model year. This move is in response to the overwhelming market acceptance and persistent demand for Honda’s performance hatchback.

So how many Civic Type Rs will Honda bring in this time? Like the first batch, the second batch is set at 100 units. Color choices for the 2018 Civic Type R includes the signature Championship White and Rallye Red. Besides those two colors, Polished Metal Metallic has been added for the 2018 color options.

The 37 Honda dealerships nationwide will begin answering inquiries tomorrow, May 11, 2018. Initial deliveries will commence by October of this year. As for pricing, it has yet to be announced.

To recap, the Honda Civic Type R is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four cylinder engine. Power is rated at 310 PS while torque weighs in at 400 Nm. All Civic Type R models come with a six-speed manual with a rev-matching function. Its suspension can be set up in three ways, ranging from comfort to track-spec R+.
