If you’re one of the million sporting Apple’s iPhone and wish that you’d get the chance to experience its interface on the infotainment of your vehicle using CarPlay, there’s the 2016 Honda Civic and the 2016 Volvo XC90 already available in the local market.
But if you want to look at more options, Apple has just added 50 new entries to the list expanding the number of models sporting CarPlay to more than 200 already.
New models from the likes of Audi, Kia, Maserati, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Volkswagen have been included, plus the BMW 5 Series, which will be the first-ever unit to come with wireless CarPlay.
If your car is the same model as the ones on the list Apple has just released, expect your automaker to release a firmware update soon that may already include Apple CarPlay.
Should your vehicle not have the proper equipment to run Apple CarPlay, there are various third-party options from the likes of Sony and Pioneer that will allow you to run Apple Carplay once installed.
The updated list of cars that support Apple CarPlay can be found here.
