After debuting in Dubai last November 2014, Aston Martin has recently announced that the Middle-East exclusive Lagonda Taraf will now be sold in other major markets around the world in limited numbers.
According to company CEO Dr. Andy Palmer, this was one of his top priorities when he first joined Aston Martin late last year.
“I wanted to be able to offer this exceptional saloon to the potential owners from around the globe who have been enquiring about it, and I’m very happy that we have been able to expand the Lagonda proposition,” added Palmer.
Limited to only 200 units, orders for the super saloon is now open in Europe, the United Kingdom and South Africa and can be specified to either be in right- or left-hand drive configuration.
In review, the Lagonda Taraf makes use of the brand's VH architecture and has styling cues from the much revered 1976 Lagonda that was designed by William Towns.
Interior details are yet to be revealed by the automaker but they did state that the cabin can be personalized via the brand's Q by Aston Martin service. Power is provided by a 6.0-liter V12 engine though exact output ratings are yet to released as well.
“As a result of today’s announcement we anticipate very quick expressions of interest from customers around the world, many of whom will want to add Lagonda to their luxury and sports car collections,” said Palmer.
