We first learned of the Aston Martin’s Project 003 when the British marque revealed a sketch of the hypercar last year. Since then, Aston Martin has not really revealed much details about the vehicle. In fact, we don't really know what it will actually look like. Today however, Aston Martin has released the first teaser photo showing the actual Project 003's rear end.

While it is not much to go on, we do get to see more details of Project 003 aside from the rough sketch of the past. More so, the teaser photo does not seem to resemble the sketch in any way. Looking at the details though, we can see that Aston Martin’s upcoming hypercar will be mid-engined. The exhaust will then exit upwards similar to ones found on the McLaren P1 and the 600LT. As for the body, it appears to be low and sleek, having smooth curves at the rear. There does appear to be a spoiler that runs the length of the car’s rear end.

Aside from the lone teaser photo though, Aston Martin has not revealed any new information about their forthcoming hypercar, unfortunately. That said, we do know that it will not be a successor to the Valkyrie and Valkyrie AMR Pro. Previous reports also mentioned that it will be a hybrid similar to other hypercars such as the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder. Unlike the Valkyrie though, Project 003 will not strictly be a performance focused model. Instead, it will still come with practical features, allowing it to be used like any other road car.

Aston Martin had previously announced that Project 003 will be a limited run model with production limited to 500 models globally. The model is expected to debut sometime in 2021.
