Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate to be last current-gen model

Since its introduction in 2012, the current generation Aston Martin Vanquish has long been the British marque's flagship model. With other Aston Martin models having already been replaced or due for a replacement soon, it comes to no surprise then that the second generation Vanquish will soon be ceasing production as well. To send the current model off, Aston Martin has revealed the limited-run Vanquish S Ultimate.

To start, the Ultimate edition is based off a standard Vanquish S. As such, power still comes from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 which outputs the same 595 PS mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Carbon ceramic rotors and three-way adaptive dampers also come standard.

What truly sets it apart from the a standard Vanquish S is the special features found both inside and outside. It is offered with special paint finishes – Ultimate Black with Copper Bronze graphics, Xenon Grey with Cobalt Blue details, and White Gold with Bronze accents. Depending on the color chosen, each comes paired with matching interior trim.

Standard on the exterior of all Ultimate models no matter the color are carbon fiber side strakes with rose gold “Ultimate” decals. Inside, it features bespoke stitching, carbon fiber step boards and 'Ultimate' embroidered on the headrest.

Though the photos only show the coupe, the Vanquish S Ultimate is also available in open-top Volante variant. Combined, Aston Martin will only produce 175 units with deliveries expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

Liked the current-generation Vanquish? Aston Martin's third generation flagship model is also expected to debut in 2018 as spy shots have seen it undergoing testing.
