Aston Martin’s new V12 Vantage S is the fastest and most powerful roadster that the British automaker has ever built.

A new addition to the exterior front of the roadster is a carbon-fiber arrangement grille that comes with black or titanium silver mesh inserts that replaces the old aluminum vanes. Other exterior options include a set of lightweight forged alloy ten-spoke wheels, bold graphics that paints the carbon fiber grille, front grille lip, tailgate panel, exterior carbon pack and flared wheel arches.

Besides having a new set of seat and door trims, lightweight sport or carbon fiber seats can be chosen as well as having the option of having the “Interior Carbon Black” which adds carbon fiber to the facia and door pulls.

Powering the Roadster is a 6.0L Aston Martin AM28 V12 engine that produces 573PS, enabling it to hit a top speed of 323km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 4.1 seconds.

It has a peak torque of 620Nm at 5,750rpms but has 510Nm readily available at 1,000rpms, which creates “a flatter, yet fatter torque curve” according to Aston Martin.

The six-speed manual gearbox is replaced with the new Sportshift 7-speed transmission. The transmission which is derived from their racing cars, the Vantage GT4, GT3 and GTE, provides lesser torque interruption when changing gears, gives a faster switch of cogs and lighter, reducing 20kg.

Carbon ceramic disc brakes are found on all four corners, closely mimicking the brakes also found on their ultimate GT car, the Vanquish.

Aston Martin also introduces a “Q by Aston Martin Collection” that is composed of features like a selection bold colors for the interior or exterior of the car. It features a body colored carbon bonnet louvers, a red tint or satin finish to the carbon fiber trim options found inside and outside.

Furthermore, it also has a full carbon fiber center console, black layered and machined rotary controls and a steering wheel with a leather on-center in the selected interior accent color.
