Audi may be heading towards the electrification route for its future generation of cars, but that doesn't mean Audi will stop making (or updating) performance cars to delight its customers. Take the TT sportscar, which recently received an upgrade.
Called the 2021 Audi TT S Line Competition, the new update introduces several exterior and interior add-ons to the two-door coupe. For starters, it gets a black styling package that gives the car neat gloss black accents. It's on the grille surround, air inlets, side mirrors, diffuser insert, and fixed rear wing. It also gets a unique set of bumpers, updated Singelframe front grille, side sill trim, and a stylish diffuser at the back.
Also unique to this particular Audi TT is a set of black 19-inch alloy wheels that feature a five-arm polygon design. For those that prefer something bigger, a 20-inch set with a ten-spoke Y design is available as an option. As far as colors are concerned, the TT S Line Competition is available in Chronos Gray, Glacier White, Tango Red, and Turbo Blue, as seen here.
Open the doors, and the two-door gets leather seats and black Alcantara all around. There's even a choice to have the contrast stitching in Express Red or Ara Blue for that extra touch of personalization. Also providing as a stark contrast against is the central tunnel/aircon vents, which can be painted in Tango Red, Turbo Blue, and Slate Gray.
Powering this special edition Audi TT is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four dubbed the 45 TSFI. It makes 245 PS along with 370 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to either a six-speed manual or six-speed S-Tronic transmission.
With the TT set to be going away soon, perhaps this is Audi giving the two-door a special send-off before it rides off into the sunset. But with Audi still unsure what to do with the TT name, maybe Audi will still be making another special edition of the two-door sports coupe soon.
