High-performance coupes are relatively hard to come by in the country but Audi Philippines makes an addition to the market with the all-new RS5. Quietly making its debut this week, the RS5 arrived in the country alongside the S-Line variants of the Q2 and Q5.

Audi Philippines quietly debuts potent RS5, sporty S-Line crossovers

This being the RS variant, it serves as the top-spec A5 model with loads more power than the standard model. With its Porsche co-developed 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, the RS5 produces 450 PS and 600 Nm of torque. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard with more power being sent to the rear wheels. Transmission is an eight-speed automatic which helps propel it from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds.

In order to further separate the RS5 from standard A5 coupes, it gets a more muscular body treatment. A wider stance comes courtesy of unique suspension settings for both front and rear. To accommodate the changes under the chassis, the RS5 comes with blistered wheel arches with more embossed character lines.

At the front is a deeper front apron along with larger air dams at each corner. Also, the lower part of the grill spells out Quattro, a unique touch to this high-performance model. Lastly, a trunk lip spoiler and integrated rear bumper diffuser rounds up the changes over the regular A5.

Audi Philippines quietly debuts potent RS5, sporty S-Line crossovers

As mentioned, the S-Line versions of the Q2 and Q5 were displayed as well. In essence, the two newest crossovers from Audi get a sporty treatment. Both get more aerodynamic bumpers, larger corner air intakes, lower profile alloy wheels and S Line interior trimmings. Both serve as the top spec variants of their respective model lines.
