Audi reveals facelifted A3 and S3

Audi’s full A3 lineup receives a refresh

Remaining familiar and easily recognizable, Audi have re-styled their A3 line with subtle changes to its exterior. The new models receive a new front fascia matched with reshaped Xenon plus headlights.

The rear end receives a new diffuser as well as mildly altered tail lights whereas other changes such as an extended selection of colors and optional matrix LED headlamps round up the rest of the exterior alterations.

While Audi is known to be generally minimalistic with exterior changes, the A3 and S3 receive a fair splash of changes in its interior. A new three-spoke steering wheel has been placed as well as an upgraded MMI system with Audi’s virtual cockpit system available as an option.

The facelifted A3 also comes with a traffic jam assist system that allows the car to be automatically driven up until 64 km/h.

The A3 plays host to a huge selection of motors, with the ability to choose from the following:

The A3 will also come with an eco-friendly sportback e-tron variant. Pairing the 1.4 TFSI with an electric motor and an 8.8 kilowatt lithium-ion battery, the combined setup enables the e-tron to churn out 207PS.

Clients interested in using natural gas may opt for the Sportback g-tron that features a 1.4 TFSI bi-fuel engine that produces 112PS.

Lastly, the facelifted S3 will have an upgraded 2.0 TFSI motor developing 314PS and 400nM of torque.

Both the A3 and S3 facelifts are slated to go on sale next month with deliveries starting over the summer in Germany.
