Five rings will now drive four rings
Audi and the International Olympic Committee have just affirmed their new partnership agreement for a new automobile supplier for the organization's fleet in its headquarters as well as International IOC events with Audi vehicles. The agreement began on January 1st and will last until the end of 2016. Audi will be providing a range of 40 cars to the IOC in Lausanne, and other International IOC events as well.
"Through our cooperation with the IOC as the top-level global organization we aim to link our brand even closer with international sport," says Luca de Meo, member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Marketing and Sales.
The Volkswagen Group is no stranger to the Olympic Games. It was the official vehicle parter of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and will be the official parter of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. Audi is also a parter of National Olympic Committees in Germany, Finland, Russia, and Switzerland.
The new partnership ends 22 years of the IOC's partnership with Damiler-Benz.
