Auto Shanghai 2011: Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase
Baby Rolls gets longer
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars conducted the world premiere of the new Ghost Extended Wheelbase model 14th Auto Shanghai Motor Show.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost's interior space is enhanced in the Extended Wheelbase variant by the addition of 170mm to the car's wheelbase, making the car more suited for chauffeur driven examples, with double the leg and knee room compared to the standard Ghost.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase is powered by the acclaimed 6.6-liter twin turbo charged V12 engine which produces 563hp and 780Nm of torque, giving the longer Ghost an acceleration figure of 5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
The ultra-luxury saloon, the sixth new model from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, is targeted at customers who require increased space and comfort without sacrificing the dynamism that Rolls-Royce has engineered into the Ghost, an ultra luxury car that has seen outstanding demand since its worldwide launch in 2009. It will be built to order and is available in only limited numbers for 2011 until full production begins in 2012.
