According to a well placed source, Nissan Gallery, the dealer of the Nissan brand under Willy Tee Ten’s Autohub Group, has been appointed by Nissan Philippines, Inc. as the official dealer of the GT-R.
The move by Autohub’s Nissan Gallery would mean that they would be the sole dealer of the Nissan GT-R (R35), though it is still unconfirmed whether it would be at their Quezon Avenue or Libis/C-5 dealership.
Since its world debut in 2007, the Nissan GT-R has become one of the most sought after performance cars in the world. The GT-R is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that in its latest guise delivers 553 PS and 627 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox.
We confirmed the information with another source, albeit it was also relayed to AutoIndustriya.com that the GT-R itself is still unconfirmed for local sale.
Nissan Philippines, Inc., the national sales company (NSC) is still in negotiations with Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. to be able to be able to sell the highly prized performance car in the country. Our sources indicate that the GT-R, if approved, would come in next year.
Nevertheless if (or when) the GT-R does come in, Nissan Philippines, Inc. will task Autohub’s Nissan Gallery dealerships to be the official dealer.
