Round 2 saw fifty-seven competitors step up and take the wheel of AutoIndustriya.com GT5 Challenge virtual time-attack competition of the Manila Auto Salon at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on a busy Friday. Sponsored by Lexus Manila, this round featured the IS-F sports sedan challenging the very technical Madrid City Circuit in Gran Turismo 5 on the Sony Playstation 3.
It was Jan Millad Lacuna who set a fastest lap of 1:38.404 during the early part of the day's competition and Joel Erickson Ursi's 1:38.765 laptime would hold on as second fastest. It was until about three-fourths of the competition where the times started to go down as Terrence Lallave shattered the 1 minute 38 second barrier with a blistering 1:36.706 laptime followed by an even faster 1:35.069 laptime to set the day's record. Gether Quintos tried to outlap Lallave, but only came up with a 1:37.998 laptime, which was good enough for second.
Top 5 times of the day will receive gift packs from Lexus Manila. First place winner Terrence Lallave receives a Mika Hakkinen autographed AutoIndustriya.com mousepad and a Gift Certificate from Remixx Clothing; second placer Gether Quintos and third placer Jan Millard Lacuna each receive an AutoIndustriya.com mousepad, and Gift Certificate from Remixx Clothing.
