BAIC unveils two new models in all-new dealership
BAIC has officially inaugurated their first dealership in the Philippines located along Don Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City. Present at the event was the BAIC Philippine's guest of honor, Dr. Haiyang Dong, CEO of BAIC International along with his entourage.
Together with Mr. George Chua, CEO of Bayan Automotive Industries Corporation, they held the ceremonial ribbon cutting to formally open the newly built dealership. Following that, a blessing ceremony was held to annoint the dealership with sales and good fortune throughout the years.
Part of the ceremony involved Dr. Dong giving an speech involving BAIC future vehicles such as EV's, the company's spread across the globe, and his well wishes for BAIC Philippines. Chua further added to that by commenting on the looming excise tax as well as the requirements for brand new vehicles needing to comply with Euro 4 standards beginning 2018.
He says that BAIC would allow the Filipino people to still own a vehicle despite new regulations being implemented. Chua concludes by saying that BAIC hopes to improve the life of Filipinos through their vehicles.
To wrap up the ceremony, Chua gave a token of appreciation to Dr. Dong for coming to the ceremony. The two then proceeded to unveil two new models that will be added to BAIC Philippine's curent lineup – The Bayanihan H5 and the Freedom Mini Truck. Both vehicles are already available and are already Euro 4 compliant.
