Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to Bentley's founder
In 2019, Bentley will be celebrating their centenary since the company was founded back in 1919. That said, it seems as though the celebrations have began as early as this year. The British marque recently revealed a special edition Mulsanne to commemorate their 100 year anniversary – The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner.
The luxury sedan is named after the brand's founder W.O. Bentley, who founded the British company 100 years ago. It is distinguished from standard Mulsanne models by its Onyx paint coupled with a unique set of wheels also finished in black. A chrome hood strip gives the Onyx paint some contratst, and special centenary badging further distinguish it from other variants. Bentley also mentioned that owners can choose a different hue for their vehicles should they want.
Inside, the Mulsanne W.O. Edition is said to take inspiration from luxury living in the 1930's. There is an illuminated cocktail cabinet couple with lambswool rugs, glass tumblers and privacy curtains at the rear. The piece de resistance would be a slice of the crankshaft from W.O. Bentley's personal 8 Litre car set into the armrest of this anniversary edition Mulsanne. An inscription describing the part's significance is inscribed just below it.
Customers can choose which Mulsanne model will be given the W.O. Edition treatment – whether the standard Mulsanne or the Mulsanne Speed. Other options include an extended wheelbase body available for the standard Mulsanne. That said, only 100 units of the Mulsanne W.O. Editon by Mulliner will be produced. The lucky 100 owners will have their cars delivered in 2019, just as Bentley celebrates their 100 year anniversary.
