Bentley will be at this year's Geneva International Motor Show with a special edition model made to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary. It won't just be any limited-run variant of an existing Bentley however, as this comes with a unique piece straight out of W.O.'s personal automobile.
It's called the Mulsanne W.O. and it was specially designed to pay tribute to the founder of the company, W.O. Bentley himself. Made by Mulliner, the company's in-house coachbuilder, the special edition Mulsanne will only be limited to 100 examples and will come with the finest materials and trimmings.
Serving as the centerpiece of the limited edition Mulsanne is a crankshaft taken from W.O.'s personal 1930 8 Liter luxury sedan (as seen on the picture above). The engineers cut the crankshaft into 100 sections for display in each of the new Mulsanne W.O. Each piece will be mounted between the two rear seats for all to see inside the car.
Other details regarding the 100th anniversary special still remain a mystery. But given each one will be hand-crafted by Mulliner, expect each one to have a unique interior design that is specific to each customer's preference. Also, expect the Mulsanne W.O. to come with a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 that churns out over 500 PS and more than 1,000 Nm of torque.
Apart from the special edition Mulsanne, Bentley will also be displaying the Bentayga Speed, as well as the new Continental GT Convertible at the annual auto show. In addition, the company will also be displaying the Innovation Lab. Here, show-goers will be able to test Bentley's latest in-car features like Bentley On Demand which is the company's online mobility connected service, and Advanced Connecctivity which acts as the fast in-car Wi-Fi system.
