The Bentley Bentayga is indeed capable of going off-road as the British automaker from Crewe recently released a teaser video wherein the crossover is seen easily traversing up a mountain road in Northern Spain.
Still relatively camouflaged to hide its exterior design before its eventual release, the front end features a Mulsanne-inspired grill, a wide hood, a character line that runs the entire length of the crossover and rear wheel arches that appear to flank the tailgate.
The rear on the other hands gets styling cues from the Continental GT with its taillight design and oblong-shaped exhaust pipes. Also seen is a roof-mounted spoiler.
Exact powertrain details were not revealed though at the end of the video, Bentley states that it will not be a performance-oriented crossover but will instead be the company's new potential.
Scheduled to be revealed later this year, the Bentayga will reportedly be the first model under Volkswagen AG to be driven by the new 6.0-liter TSI W12 that produces 608 PS and 900 Nm of torque. A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is also expected to be available along with a plug-in hybrid variant which may be launched in 2017.
